Hi there, I was wondering if anyone here has applied for a certificate of good conduct recently. I’m interested in getting involved in volunteering activities with children during my degree studies in the UK. As such, I’ll need to get a certificate of good conduct for the background check.
When I looked it up online, it said that I’d have to fill in the application form online. It stated that the estimated turnaround time is 1-2 months. For those that applied for the cert before, how long did it take for you to get your cert? Also did anyone opt for them to send the cert to you by post instead of collecting it in person?
Not very sure if the UK accept other countries certificates. but based on my experience if you are working with kids under 16, you have to apply for DBS in the UK. I got mine via a charitable body I'm working with. If you plan to get it yourself I think it cost around £25
